This blog was created to provide small business owners with FREE access to the most important and fundamental knowledge surrounding marketing and copywriting. Now, you may be wondering what that means for you. Whether you are an established business owner looking to launch a new product or service or you’re a newbie with a burning passion to get started, this blog is the perfect place for you to ensure you’re DIY-ing it correctly.
Let me tell you a little about myself.
I am based in Long Island, New York (commonly called, “Lawng Guyland”) And I have the accent to prove it!
I have a two-year-old demon daughter who keeps me on my toes every day.
I have been married for two years (this November!) to a hard-working, football-loving man whom I’ve dated since high school.
I have always known I wanted to be a writer or editor in some capacity. I used to review all of my older cousins’ essays and mark them up with a red pen. When I was 12, I submitted an essay to Chicken Soup for the Pre-Teen Soul. I did not get chosen. It was devasting.
I refuse to do anything or speak to anyone before I have coffee. More specifically, an iced coffee or a pumpkin-spiced latte when the season calls for it!
On a professional level:
I graduated with a dual bachelor’s degree in Communications and American Studies back in 2013 from SUNY College at Old Westbury in New York.
I landed a full-time job as a copywriter with a small vitamin company right out of college. I worked there for seven years. I was promoted three times during my tenure. By the time I left the company in 2021 to have my daughter, I proudly led the brand’s transformation from a vitamin company to a lifestyle brand as their Marketing Manager.
I worked with an amazing marketing and operations agency as their Lead Copywriter and Marketing Strategist for over a year. During my time at the agency, I helped dozens of entrepreneurs and founders who were launching or revamping their digital services or products, like courses and memberships. I learned more than I ever thought possible and made amazing connections and long-lasting friendships.
Fast forward to September 2023 and I decided to launch my own freelance copywriting and marketing services for small business owners. I am LOVING the flexibility and freedom I now have, which allows me to be a better friend, mother, wife, and human.
